Mermaid Phase

Sometimes known as Sea Fairies

I am a creature of the Fey

Prepare to give your soul away

My spell is passion and it is art

My song can bind a human heart

And if you chance to know my face

My hold shall be your last embrace.

Sailors for the longest time have told yarns about the ladies of the deep that have come to their salvation. To this day these ladies of legend are spoken of with the awe they so richly deserve.

There are many places on SL that are created specifically to explore mermaids or being one. The beauty and creativity found at these places touched some place primal and deep within me. They say that we come from the sea originally. Do you think that might be why some of us feel this aquatic pull?

I have been lucky enough to be given the space to express do that myself. It is a small cove by the fairy grove on Nayeli. Still under construction, come see me sometime...or better yet, come explore on your own. Do not miss the underwater patio.

Don't worry, you should be able to be underwater, wearing the Gorean Meter, without drowning...

If you stay on the mosaic images of Neptune, that is. Or you can come dance with me!

I'm late!

I'm late, I'm late for a very important date!

It has been a while since I have posted here. Both my rl and sl have been very busy.

So where was I ?

I was brought to the cube as part of a task, how fortunate is that, I ask you? Who knows how long it would have taken for me to find this place?

At first I was a bit intimidated...I mean it sounds like it might be a bit rough, and I have not RP'd in a very long time. So one day I ventured in, (after carefully removing my shoes and shopping all over for pantyless skirts.) I pulled myself together, reminding myself that this is a computer, and stepped onto the shores of Glint. Within moments everything changed. There was the equivalant of a brown out in SL. No log ins, no log outs, no TPs. I was there, on the desert nation known as Glint. All alone.

I have sometimes thought of as many as six impossible things before breakfast! (Lewis Carroll)

One of those things is to become fae or a fairy. be a mermaid...yet another...well, you will have to wait to discover that later!

The Transformation

So now I am outfitted and after having been given a list of "acceptable" places where I can buy a skin...this is the result. what do you think? I have stepped thru the looking glass, become a mirrored image of myself. Now I stand at the brink of a new adventure. After a bit of advise from the girl I vouched for, off she goes!

Oh, the cube? The cube was at a place called the Dark Den. But that is a story for another day...

A newbie gets a chance for a new likeness!

Being a noob is an interesting thing. I had tried to get myself together as much as possible from what was available. There is a lot available, enough to be presentable, at least... but one day I met someone who changed my life. Funny thing is, I do not even remember her name.

She IM'd me with something like this..."I have been watching you. Good job on your avi... would you like some help with looking even better?"

It seems she had a task for a place where she had to find someone new and help the noob get ...clothes skins whatever. She told me that I have shown a lot of potential in my freebie choices, so I was deemed worthy of her attention. In exchange, since nothing is for free...I was to come to a "cube" and vouch for her as having helped me.

That "cube" oh dear, where it led me...

So, Now time to explore?

Through the glass I go. Welcome to Second Life!

My First Post! Or do I really need to explain the name of my BLOG?

On January 7th of this year I rezzed into the world that we call Second Life. I have been here once before, long ago, but left for various reasons. The avis are not half bad now and when you are brand spanking new, you may be lucky enough to find yourself at Hyles Info Hub...They have all manner of things available to the new avi on the go! Clothes, shoes, Fairy wings, Vampire attitre, Neko attire...Did I mention clothes? Now wait...All of this and heaven too? (gasping) An AO! No more walking like a duck!

"Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There. "(1871) is a work by Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson). It is the sequel to Alices Adventures in Wonderland. (1865). Here the mirror theme runs rampant, including opposites, time running backwards, reading Jabberwocky, and so on. Alice ponders what the world is like on the other side of a mirror (the reflected scene displayed on its surface), and to her surprise, is able to pass through to experience the alternate world.

If the book were written today, think Alice might be in Second Life?
